I love the Hermit.
I love the searching for truth.
I love the austerity.
I love the silence and the seclusion.
To me the Hermit and the cave are one. Together they search beyond the boundaries of existence or at least incarnation. Though the drawing does not show it so clearly in black and white, I feel that this is a nocturnal scene. The Sun is set and those animals that come out looking for nourishment after dark are out hunting.
