Looking for Magic? Melinda’s Message

If this your first time visiting my blog please take a moment to subscribe to my blog while you are here via email.

Welcome to another post by my guide Melinda. Melinda and I work together to help people through the tarot readings I deliver. Melinda was a reader in her life. She has a great perspective drawn from both her last lifetime, being born in 1696, and her subsequent time as a spirit.

In my day one of the biggest reasons people came to see me was for magic.

Balance and harmony, inside one's self and in one's life, are the tools that allow the magic tree of the self to bear fruit.

Balance and harmony, inside one’s self and in one’s life, are the tools that allow the magic tree of the soul to bear fruit.

I have been watching the world of reading over the last number of years move away from prediction and magic. At least in the first world. Then over the last few years it has been resurfacing. This magical way of working with the cards. It is present in every culture in the world in one form or another.

When people came to find my camp they were always looking for miracles. Usually the miracle of seeing the future – “Will the crop find a way to live?” The second reason was always to gain control of something through magic. Can we remove this illness or that. A husband had run off or a man had gone back to his wife. “Where can the money to buy a new horse come from?” Magic was almost always an act of desperation when someone comes for a reading. Other avenues had been explored and there seemed nothing left, but the miraculous.

I often advised people of herbs to bathe in or offerings to give to certain saints or spirits of the forest. The ancestors were another source of ameliorating peoples situations. Group prayers for the sick where not uncommon. Few could read so the words were often simpler but always heartfelt and powerful. For some people there was not mysterious intercession.

I see many people looking for this kind of help today too. Not just people from the third world, but many people are looking for hope and open to the unknown and magical. As in my day so many people take advantage of this. Taking what they can get and then moving on never to be heard from again. In my life the existence of magic was a given fact – not open to questioning. The only question was whether it was a sin – or maybe just how much of a sin is it.

Now we have medicine and psychology – yet so many people crave more. I can tell you that magic works. That it is a power that anyone can access or work with. It is simple and can be deeply transformative. It can bring luck, healing, open roads and clear the way for success and happiness. I have rarely seen horrible repercussions to those who genuinely try to help.

So why is it so hard to find magic today? Because we have forgotten how and where to look.

It is due in large part to there being less faith in the world. People are more removed from religion. Though religion and magic are different they are intertwined and once one knows God all the rest is possible.

Would you like to bring magic into your life? Into your readings? Andrew and I will be talking about it more over the coming months. In the meantime just start with spending more time connecting to your spirit, your ancestors, and whatever manifestation of God feels right to you. The magic will flow from there.

Oh. And do not take any wooden nickels.
Thanks for listening
Melinda
