This year has been hard on many people. Many elders have passed and many people have suffered. This event is a call to come together as a community and an offering to ask for a better year in 2015. Orisha worshipers around the globe are coming together to pray for peace and healing in the world. Drums, offerings, and other ceremonies will be held in many cities on December 20th.
I know this is during the holiday season, but please consider taking some time to focus on the spiritual needs of the world amid the busyness.
In Toronto, Canada, we will be gathering to perform a ceremony known as Nangareo. A ceremony in which we offer our song and a libation to the creator. This ceremony has been chosen because it is open for all to participate in, whether you are an initiate in the religion or only want to add your voice to the prayer for global healing.
December 20th please arrive at 10 am. The ceremony will start promptly at 10:30 am and the door will be locked so please don’t be late. After the ceremony there will be time and space to share coffee and tea. Please feel free to bring snacks to share. The event will end at 11:45 am.
At The Hermit’s Lamp, 425 Vaughan Rd, Toronto ON – 647 286 8739
The event is free but please bring a non-perishable food item to donate to the local food bank.
Are you coming? Great drop me an email with questions, offers to help with setup, and to RSVP firstname.lastname@example.org
